Crooked Creek: A community for older adults

June 16, 2010

Crooked Creek Tower, an affordable housing community for older adults, has been a notable fixture in Pike Township for over 25 years. Located at 7988 Michigan Rd., CCT has an outstanding reputation for quality living for residents who are 62 years of age or older, or 18 years old if mobility impaired. With 167 spacious one-bedroom apartments, it is conveniently located close to shopping and medical facilities. Free transportation is offered to area grocery stores and shopping centers on a regularly scheduled basis.

Small garden plots enable those with green thumbs to grow healthy vegetables and beautiful flowers to enhance a well-groomed landscape surrounding the facility. Programs are offered through the community with presenters who have expertise in improving the quality of life for older citizens. Monthly projects include Project Hands and Caring & Sharing, which provide residents the opportunity to give back to their community.

CCT's motto, "Committed to Service, Dedicated to Excellence, Enhancing Quality of Life," is more than words; it illustrates a management and staff commitment to ensuring residents feel safe, secure, and cared about. Six-year resident Mikki Randolph recently commented, "I have enjoyed my stay here and realize I've been spoiled. Where else could I find such pleasant and efficient staff who are truly going the extra mile to make us feel safe and well cared for!"
